The first PDF attached below is a very nice report produced by the State of South Carolina that details the habitats and locations of penaeid shrimp as well as their spawning cycle. In color too!
While you are reading, don't miss South Carolina's page on shrimp published in 2007. It is very detailed and has a lot of information about spawning, habitats, growth cycles and other extremely interesting information. While these articles are published by the State of South Carolina, our ecosystems are very similar and share the same species of shrimp, especially along the East Coast. Learning from our neighbors to the North can't hurt!
