Florida Picolata Shrimp

IngredientsFlorida Picolata Shrimp

  • 1 pound Florida shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Florida honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sliced Florida green onions
  • 4 cloves Florida garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cups hot cooked rice
  • chopped parsley, garnish

Preparation

  1. Rinse shrimp; pat dry with paper towels. Set aside.
  2. Combine water, chili sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, and hot pepper sauce.Mix well. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add onions, garlic, ginger and shrimp; sauté for 3 minutes.
  5. Stir sauce and pour over shrimp mixture.
  6. Cook over medium-heat, stirring constantly, 3 to 4 minutes or until shrimp are no longer translucent in the center.
  7. Serve over rice; sprinkle with parsley.
