Ingredients
- 1 2-ounce bag of prepared shrimp boil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 Florida onion, sliced
- 2 quarts water
- 1 Florida lemon, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, sliced
- 2 pounds large Florida shrimp, peeled, tail on
Preparation
- Combine all ingredients, except shrimp, in a 4-quart sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil on high heat.
- Add shrimp and reduce heat to medium-high.
- Simmer 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until shrimp turn pink and opaque throughout. Do not overcook.
- Drain shrimp and cover with ice to chill.
- Serve in a martini glass or on a flat plate; garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
- Serve with favorite dipping sauce.
