Hello Everyone, Well, we are stepping into the future today. Ozello Shrimpers is proud to announce the addition of an Official Google Earth Layer! Ozello Shrimpers official global map of recreational shrimping locations is available by downloading the .KMZ file attached below. The file is a network enabled map. This means that every time you load Google Earth and enable the Ozello Shrimper layer, it will automatically update itself with the most current zones, locations, amenities and information available from Ozello Shrimper. In case you were wondering where we are going with this, it is our plan to develop the Google Earth functionality further and to make Ozello Shrimpers Google Earth layers a one stop shrimp report and location system. Google Maps is great but it can be a bit limiting. You may have already noticed that is only displays a few locations at once. Google Earth has recently developed a Google Earth module that can be embedded into a web page and used just like Google Maps but with a lot more functionality. It is still in Beta and works only with a few browser versions but it will soon be finished and we will look to implement it fully here It is our goal of creating a shrimping report system that you can use to report your catches using a Google Earth map online. You will be able to click a spot on the map and tell us what you caught. You will also be able to look up the other shrimping reports around you. Combined with all the free layers like boat ramps, weather, and street maps and you are set! For now, download Google Earth (if you haven't already, it's free!) and then download the Ozello Shrimper Shrimping Locations layer attached to this message. You are in for a treat!
