I would like to welcome to all of our shrimpers, their friends and relatives, and all visitors to the http://www.ozelloshrimper.com website to the 2008 shrimping season. :applause:

Before I get started with any "fish stories," I want to thank our webmaster, Richard Martin, who has shrimped with us for many years. He is the architect of this great website and came up with
the beautiful flash animation introduction of our grass flats and shrimping grounds. Richard is now living in France and will miss this shrimping season, so he'll be keeping in touch with us through our website. He will want to hear or read all about our shrimping endeavors. So let's get busy and get looking for shrimp and see what is making the news.

Being a shrimper from the Pinellas County area, I'd like to mention something that is near and dear to my heart, and shrimping grounds this season. As many of you must know, the Florida Department of Transportation is planning to raise the tolls to Fort De Soto Park from $0.85 to $3.75. If any of our shrimpers know anything about this outlandish increase in tolls, let us in on the scoop. They say a toll-payer's revolt is brewing. If there is, let us shrimpers in on it.

In the mean time, let us know what you know about shrimping, or what you would like to know.

See ya out there.
