Florida Shrimp Cocktail

Classic Florida Shrimp Cocktail.  A cool and refreshing beginning to any meal.

Ingredients

For 4 people ()

  • 2 ounce(s) Prepared Shrimp Boil (comes in a bag)
  • 2 teaspoon(s) Salt
  • 1 cup(s) Florida Onion, Sliced
  • 1 cup(s) Florida Onion
  • 4 cup(s) Water
  • 1 Florida Lemon, Sliced
  • 1 Garlic clove, Sliced
  • 2 pound(s) Large Florida Shrimp, Peeled, Tails On

Florida Shrimp Cocktail Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients, except shrimp, in a 4-quart sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a boil on high heat.
  3. Add shrimp and reduce heat to medium-high.
  4. Simmer 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until shrimp turn pink and opaque throughout. Do not overcook.
  5. Drain shrimp and cover with ice to chill.
  6. Serve in a martini glass or on a flat plate; garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
  7. Serve with favorite dipping sauce.
