Florida Shrimp and Grits Directions
Bring milk, water and 1 garlic clove to a simmer in a heavy, nonstick saucepan.
Add grits and cook as package directs, stirring constantly.
Watch the evaporation of liquid and add more milk if necessary.
When fully cooked, remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of the butter and season with salt and pepper.
Heat 4 tablespoons of the butter in a nonstick frying pan and add 2 green onions, 1 garlic clove, and the shrimp.
Sauté the shrimp until the shrimp turns pink, 2-3 minutes.
Add the rest of the butter to the pan and melt.
Top the grits with the shrimp and pour the butter on top.
Garnish with 1 green onion and the tomatoes.
